The mountain state isn’t just known for its state parks and resorts but also its rich heritage as home to the first ever organized golf club in the United States. Of course, not all the golf courses can make this claim but there is nothing to deter someone from enjoying any one of the many others as the perfect weather conditions created by the mountain attributes provides a great atmosphere to play a game of golf. Add to that the fact that many of the courses were designed by pros such as Robert Trent Jones, George Cobb and Arnold Palmer and anyone will be more than excited to experience and enjoy a round in West Virginia. Some of the grounds found here are Berry Hills, Cacapon and Brier Patch. The golf season in this state does happen to be during the baseball season. Come to West Virginia though and you may be much more inclined to swing a stick of a different design.
